Hello beautiful people – if you’ve been here before welcome back – if you’re new thank you for stopping by. From a “heart to heart - soul to soul” perspective here’s my wish for you.
In the moments in time you are being gifted to “experience your story” may you know - at that soul level - that you are always “Perfectly on Time”.
A bit of back story
From Nov 2022 to Aug 2023 I was posting “blogs” at www.marilynthom.com under the banner of MARILYN THOM Crone/Wise Woman (in training). The story of how that started is available here if you’re inclined to go snoop.
However, in Apr2023 I was introduced to Substack thanks to
and so began another “Perfectly on Time” exploration (AND learning curve). In Aug 2023 – “overwhelm” came into play. There’s an older post in the mix that talks a bit about the persona of “Wonder Woman” and there I was one more time. So, I decided to just stay here at Substack and simply repost to my Crone/Wise Woman (in training) site.
My “intuitive voice” recently told me “Don’t Give Up”. Might that be a collaboration of “collective” voices like
; ; ; ; and encouraging at another level? I think I’ll embrace that idea.Along with the “Don’t Give Up” message another prod was delivered.
“Hey Crone/Wise Woman (in training) - how about giving thought to simplifying your life a little AND as far as these posts go maybe consider adding at least ONE “consistent” piece of “soul speak” each time?”
And poof! The “Perfectly on Time” Musing - an idea that came into being over at www.marilynthom.com - suddenly felt like it belonged here.
Why the reference to “It’s An Inside Job”?
One of my daily readings recently gave me pause. Not that that’s unusual but for some reason, an old phrase that entered my world in the early 1980’s popped up. “It’s an Inside Job”.
It’s a phrase that continues to be referenced and from my understanding is asking me to just pay attention to my side of the street. From my perspective, it also ties into The Four Agreements another gift I’ve used while participating here in the “earth-school”.
That referenced daily reading contained the following:
In managing human affairs there is no better rule than self-restraint. – Lao-tse
Which then went on to suggest using the phrase “Hold everything” as a way to STOP reacting, speaking, and/or taking action toward another person that could result in negative fallout.
Suddenly my “intuitive voice” asked:
“Might “Hold everything” include HOLDING the person at the center of the situation that’s requiring self-restraint?
Might it be an option to HOLD that person in loving energy, kindness and compassion without even having to speak?
Might a “shift of sorts” unfold for both parties through that unspoken “HOLDING”?
All part of “It’s An Inside Job” AND being “Perfectly on Time”?
And just for a little fun - have you ever heard what happens when you take the “me” out of the word “blame”? Yep …. I’m just left with “bla, bla, bla”.
What came next?
There’s a certain level of solitude and quiet when I’m driving and much less “monkey-mind chatter”. The result has been to sometimes arrive at a place of listening more carefully for that “intuitive voice”.
While on my way to gather with a few friends that reading was on my mind along with a replay of “It’s An Inside Job”. I have to confess here that I had been skimming through Substack that morning and the old comparison play had been entertaining me. As happens, that led to that other repetitive replay. No need to put it down in black and white. Pretty sure most of you know exactly what I’m talking about!
As we gathered and started “talking story” I suddenly had a moment of such clarity that it startled me. And, the clarity was that somehow I had slipped back into that old Wonder Woman persona. A persona that was at times manageable when I was in the 2nd quarter but that needs to be put away in this 4th quarter. No wonder elements of overload and overwhelm were surfacing once again!
AND - then there was that phrase “It’s An Inside Job” reminding me one more time that the heart and soul are attached to this human suit and that’s where the “intuitive voice” lives and that’s what I need to be listening to.
The “I Am” meditation Suzanne Giesemann has shared on YouTube includes this statement at the end of a life review when a little soul says: “I’m going to take on that life there”. And the guides say, “Don’t worry about that, it will be over in the blink of an eye. Just come back and bring more love than we are giving you to go with.”
To my way of thinking the above supports THIS idea: You have been, are now and always will be “Perfectly on Time” in every single moment you breathe in and out.
Would love to have you respond to a couple of takeaway questions. It’s so helpful to receive and hear other ideas.
recently posted about CNF and the responses are creating a collective exchange that may well result in positive changes here at Substack.QUESTIONS
What do you do if/when you find yourself in a state of emotional overwhelm?
How do you balance your engagement time here on Substack with the rest of your daily activities?
I didn't know of the four agreements. Thanks for introducing them to me - they do make perfect sense,
I find I need to create structure around my Substack time. When I am writing a piece for my own readers I usually only do that, I don't go down the rabbit hole of glorious Substack pieces from others because I get utterly consumed by the amazing content. I try to give myself 30 -45 minutes most days to read all the publications I subscribe to here and comment on them, then I allow 10-15 minutes on Notes a few times a week. I am mixed about Notes so I try to lead with my heart and gut depending on how its feeling. I find I must be super careful about comparison, I find I am always comparing my work to others and coming out on the bottom so if that's getting to be too much I step away for awhile.
Thank you for the shout out Marilyn💗
